Let’s talk about one of the grooviest classic 4x4s ever produced – a 1969 Jeepster Commando<\/a> that’s currently up for grabs in Windsor, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn’t just any old Jeep – it’s a direct descendant of those snazzy Brooks Stevens-designed Jeepsters from the late ’40s. When Kaiser-Jeep brought back the Jeepster name in ’67, they gave it a modern makeover with sharp angles and that unmistakable Jeep face we all know and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the seller, this particular Commando has clocked 89,289 miles and comes with some interesting Florida history before making its way up to Canada in 2004. Under the hood, you’ll find the original Buick-derived “Dauntless” V6 – a 225 cubic inch powerplant that was good for 160 horses and 235 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states it “runs great” and the whole package, including the 4×4 system with Warn locking hubs, is reportedly in good working order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
